In the heart of Pyrmont and legally licensed on Christmas Eve in 1841, the Terminus Hotel is one of Sydney’s oldest pubs and has an eclectic, rich and checkered past throughout generations of colourful characters, gamblers, revellers and members of Sydney’s underbelly. The Terminus called ‘last drinks’ over 30 years ago and has now been lovingly revived in a way that respects its rich history and connects with the modern community.
The Terminus features boutique pub style accommodation with nine thoughtfully appointed double rooms with both shared bathroom and ensuites. All rooms have been designed with comfort, elegance and function at the forefront, while remaining true to the building’s historic charm. Guests will enjoy complimentary wifi, air conditioning, in-room desks and hand basins, and are supplied with fresh towels on arrival. Accommodation is accessed through a separate street entrance, allowing guests to retreat to their room for some privacy.
Next door is the world-class Tram Bar The Terminus offering fabulous meals, Vera’s cocktail lounge, and our courtyard. Terminus Pyrmont has a number of distinctive spaces, each with their own occasion, personality and charm. The Tram Bar retains pride of place at the entry to the venue and serves a selection of craft beers and beloved favourites, as well as “The Terminus” lager by Endeavour, a refreshing drop. Encapsulating a casual dining concept, our menu features elevated pub classics along with rotating daily specials. Vera’s Cocktail Lounge, is a luxurious space spilling out onto the large, outdoor terrace with a retractable rooftop. The cocktail list focuses on flavoursome and photogenic spritzers, classics and share cocktails. The dog friendly courtyard is a casual, chic outdoor space, filled with greenery and the perfect backdrop for a long lunch.

Located close to public transport, WeWork collaborative work space, restaurants and cafes, Jones Bay wharf and Darling Harbour precincts, International Convention Centre and the Star casino, the Terminus is the perfect home base in this fashionable waterfront precinct. The Terminus Hotel is ideally located near all forms of public transport, light rail, ferries, busses and enjoy ease of access to taxis and uber. There is no on-site parking available. The upstairs facilities and the double rooms with shared bathroom are accessible by stairs only.
