2017 AHA NSW Winners
Pub Rooms congratulates our Publicans
The awards ceremony was held on the 21st November 2017, at The Start Event Centre in front of a crowd of approximately 1200 industry and business leaders – A rather prestigious event for the hospitality industry.
More than 600 nominations were received for the Awards across a record 50 categories.
Hundreds of hotels from metro, suburban and regional areas were judged across a record-breaking number of categories. Traditional award categories such as best traditional hotel bar, best sports bar, best burger, best pub-style accommodation, best family-friendly hotel, heart of the community, best hotelĀ operator and best restaurant will be hotly contested again in 2017 – along with popular new categories introduced last year like best outdoor experience, best cheap-eat meal under $15 and best innovative refurbishment.Ā Hotel staff can also be nominated for categories including chef of the year, bartender of the year and rising star.
AHA NSW CEO John Whelan said the annual awards night was about recognizing the effort the stateās venues and their 75,000 staff members put in each and every day. The Awards are about rewarding innovation, quality and excellence of service at hotels across NSW ā The awards for Excellence recognize the best and brightest in the NSW hotel industry ā itās also a chance for hard-working publicans and their teams to celebrate all theyāve achieved over the last year, ā Mr. Whelan said.
Its also important to note that NSW hotels reflect the best in the nation – the high standard of the AHA winners are acknowledged by the industry nationwide with numerous winners in NSW going on to win the national award in their category.
We would like to congratulate all that were nominated and those who went on to win. What an achievement for all – Congratulations from us at Pub Rooms!
